Description
Meyer Distributing is looking for a Network and Hardware Manager to join a new office in Indianapolis, IN. We are hiring immediately! Meyer Distributing is a leader in automotive specialty products marketing and warehouse distributing.
Requirements for Networking and Hardware Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT network management and hardware support
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
- Strong Understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security practices (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Experience with server management, including installation, configuration, and maintenance (windows server., Linux)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper- V)
- Experience with hardware procurement, installation and life cycle management
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ are a plus
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues.

Pay: $100,000 to $120,000
Networking and Hardware Manager duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain the company's networking infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless systems, and VPN
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of all hardware systems, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices
- Lead network troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and resolution of network related issues.
- Ensure network security through proactive measures such as firewalls, encryption, and other proactive technologies
- Manage hardware lifecycle, from procurement and installation to maintenance and decommissioning
- Supervise and mentor a team of network administrators and hardware technicians
- Plan and implement strategic IT projects and upgrades
- Develop and maintain network and hardware documentation, including configuration details, network diagrams, and troubleshooting.
