We provide land acquisition, geospatial mapping, data management, web-based GIS, community relations, land feasibility studies, and permitting services. Canacre's clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Recruiter will be responsible for the Full Cycle Recruitment and Onboarding for Canacre.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create job description and job posting with hiring manager as required
  • Post through most relevant job boards, utilizing Canacre's applicant tracking system.
  • Create and publish job ads with various platforms
  • Coordinate and facilitate phone screens and interviews as required
  • Complete reference checks
  • Complete backchecks
  • Follow up with all candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring hiring managers remain updated
  • Ensure all recruitment efforts within Canacre are aligned
  • Ensure offer letters are prepared based on standardized templates
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for all new hires
  • Review and improve onboarding process, aligning all stakeholders involved
  • Reduce Canacre's time to hire metrics
  • Strategically source candidates to meet recruitment goals
  • Align with hiring managers to forecast recruitment needs
Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
  • High school diploma or GED is required. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is considered an asset.
Experience
  • 10 years professional experience working as a Recruiter
  • Experience working as a recruiter in a corporate environment
  • Experience working with Professional Services groups would be considered an asset
  • Experience working with JazzHR applicant tracking system would be considered an asset
Knowledge/Skills
  • Flexibility to work with unique hiring requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Time management to work with tight deadlines
  • Prioritize and manage positions based on organizational and hiring manager needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
