Dayco is seeking an experienced North American Sales Director to lead our sales strategy and growth initiatives across the U.S. and Canadian markets. This role will be pivotal in owning the sales functions, fostering strong client relationships, leading regional sales teams and driving profitable revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the automotive aftermarket industry, have relationships at the traditional, retail and HD customer base, and a proven track record of sales leadership. This position is Remote in the US, or Hybrid in our Birmingham, MI office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive profitable growth in the North American automotive aftermarket sector, focusing on expanding market share in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability and results.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service and support to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and develop new sales leads and customer opportunities, utilizing market research and industry insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on sales initiatives and product offerings and regional financials.
  • Conduct regular analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Establish and monitor sales performance metrics. Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to executive leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the automotive aftermarket sector.
  • Strong understanding of aftermarket products, market dynamics, and customer behaviors.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients within North America and attend industry events.
