School Social Worker Needed for the 24/25 School Year in St. Albans, New York!

Position: School Social Worker
Location:St. Albans, NY
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)
Hours: Full-time
Caseload: K-8th, specific details shared during interview with the district

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create comprehensive support plans.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention strategies.
• Facilitate workshops and programs to promote mental health awareness and resilience.
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall well-being of students.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
• Current license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.
• Experience working in a School setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be part of a dedicated team ofteachers and social workers, all working together to support the social and emotional development of our students. We emphasize collaboration and teamwork in our approach to student support.

• This position is onsite only
• This Position would be a W-2 Contracted Position for the 24/25 School Year!
