Montage is looking for a Director of Finance with the expertise and critical ability necessary to successfully manage the agency’s accounting and financial responsibilities. Qualified candidates will have the experience and attention todetail needed tolead the organization’s financial processes and associated platforms.
This is a full-time, exempt position working a hybrid schedule at Montage’s Rockville, MD office, and the employee’s home office. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $95,000 – $105,000.

About the Role
The Director of Finance will be responsible for oversight of the agency’s financial policies, accounting, processing, reporting and controls. Working closely with leadership, the Director of Finance will be responsible for the successful management of the agency’s finance department and team including all functional areas within.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in finance/accounting, required
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA), required (CPA preferred)
- Experience working with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)’s approved financial systems, required. Unanet experience strongly preferred
- Federal government or government contracting experience required
- Personnel management experience required
Duties and Responsibilities
Department Management
- Accountable for adherence to the agency’s financial policies, planning, reporting and controls
- Oversee financial functions that may include accounting, budget, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll
- Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the finance department and team
- Support development and management of budgets/policies/procedures to ensure the functional infrastructure of the agency. Monitor progress/changes; and report on required financial milestones
- Support the development and management of the department’s budget
- Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Clearly communicate monthly and annual financial reports; collate financial reporting materials and oversee all financial projects/programs
- Oversee payroll and payroll liabilities
- Ensure efficient functioning and documentation for all financial systems including receipts, disbursements, billing, bookkeeping, budgeting and accounting
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements
- Administer the company’s joint venture financial operations, reporting, and administration
Team Management
- Direct, oversee, and manage team assignments
- Engage company tools and techniques to effectively manage team
- Collaborate with team to assess the performance of the strategies and provide guidance to optimize results
- Train, mentor, and develop team members
- Support cross-departmental communication and collaboration amongst the team
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), laws and best practices
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (Unanet experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational planning
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to lead finance department and individuals
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
- Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
- Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
