Full Stack Software Engineer - AI

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced full stack engineer who is passionate about building AI-centric products to join our AI team. As an engineer on the team, you'll be responsible for shipping end-to-end features to our customers, while working with the latest AI technology.

We're looking for candidates from diverse backgrounds who are interested in:

1. Designing and implementing full-stack features using LLMs and image generation models.
2. Building, optimizing, and evaluating AI workflows using our in-house JSX-based prompting framework and evaluation library.
3. Driving improvements to our production LLM observability infrastructure and helping design continuous feedback loops to make our prompts better.
4. Creating intuitive user interfaces that make complex AI interactions accessible.
5. Building the AI platform that the rest of the engineering organization builds on top of.
6. Being a part of a close-knit team, solely focused on up-leveling our AI.

Above all, we're looking for someone who's passionate about building with AI and believes in its ability to change how information is presented to the world.

Requirements

Must Have

1. 3+ years experience as a full stack software engineer.
2. A strong understanding of TypeScript or Python.
3. Experience working with LLMs or other AI technologies.
4. Experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

1. Experience with large language models and AI prompting.
2. Experience writing AI Evals.
3. Familiarity with distributed tracing systems (OTEL, Datadog).
4. Experience with writing production quality React code — we use Chakra UI + NextJS.
5. Experience with Prisma and Apollo GraphQL.
6. Contributions to open source projects (big or small).
7. Experience with Node, NestJS, or Express.
