Qualifications for the Position:
- Practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to Catholic education
- Master’s degree in Educational Administration or similar advanced degree
- Holds a current Washington State Principal Certification, or eligibility to hold certification
- Minimum 7 years teaching experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability exhibited through past or present educational assignments
- Demonstrated successful ability to manage staff, budgets, and educational programs
- Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated initiative over the years

Major Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Reports to and collaborates with the Pastor in implementing the mission of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Seattle to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Maintains a strong learning environment.
- Assures the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive curriculum program which complies with Archdiocesan and state standards of curriculum requirements.
- Supervises certified and support staff.
- Collaborates with the vice principal, teachers, and staff to assure implementation of learning standards for students.
- Assures the development and maintenance of effective communication systems between parents, teachers, and school administrators.
- Serves as executive officer to the School Commission. Collaborates with the Commission in preparing the annual budget, and when approved, oversees implementation.
- Oversees the development of an overall financial plan for the school.
- Collaborates with the Archdiocesan Office for Catholic Schools in administering the school.
- Implements the policy and process for disciplining students.
- Manages school health, safety, and security processes, including disaster and crisis management procedures. Assures the preparation and submission of all necessary reports to the state and Archdiocesan Office for Catholic Schools. Principals also adhere to all applicable state and Archdiocesan safety and health regulations.
- Oversees the management of the school building and grounds, including supervising short-and long-range building and grounds improvement needs for the school. Principal supervises maintenance/janitorial workers for the school.
- Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required to function as a principal.
Salary: $125,000-$150,000. Determined based on comparable salary ranges of neighboring Catholic Schools, internal equity, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, certifications.
