Role Summary

As a member of the Rivian team, you will play a crucial role in delivering at scale the ADAS compute platforms for the R2/R3/Rx programs, driving innovation while ensuring Rivian ADAS hardware meets all quality and performance specifications.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver at scale the ADAS compute platforms for the R2/R3/Rx programs
  • Drive innovation while ensuring Rivian ADAS hardware meets all quality and performance specifications
  • Manage and mentor a team of highly capable engineers in the multidisciplinary art of product design
  • Define deliverables for critical program milestones and ensure teams are progressing to meet these goals
  • Identify opportunities to improve process and drive change
  • Collaborate with vehicle, software, mechanical, thermal, reliability, manufacturing, and product launch teams
  • Manage risks and make data-driven decisions to meet technical and schedule requirements
  • Develop strategies to improve product yield, cost, and reliability
  • Collaborate with supply management on strategies to reduce supply risk
  • Present status to executive management and ensure Rivian priorities are implemented within the team
  • Oversee critical design reviews and steer the team towards optimal solutions
  • Meet regularly with team members to align on objectives, foster communication, and ensure team success

Qualifications

  • High EQ and a focus on collaboration
  • 8+ years of full product life cycle design
  • BS in electrical engineering with solid EE fundamentals
  • Proficient understanding of thermal and mechanical design concepts
  • Strong familiarity with automotive design requirements and standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $213,000 - $266,300 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
