ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to work with students across grades PreK-12 in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time, onsite role provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a veteran DHH teacher while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students with hearing needs.

Position Details
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Caseload: PreK-12 students
  • Team: Join a collaborative environment with mentorship from an experienced DHH teacher.
  • Mode: Onsite
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with hearing impairments.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to facilitate academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to ensure students meet their educational goals.
  • Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring accommodations are in place and effectively utilized.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Indiana Certification in Special Education, with a focus on Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Successful student teaching experience in areas of exceptionality.
  • Basic knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Experience working with students with hearing needs preferred.
Compensation
  • $35+ per hour (Varies depending on experience).
