About the Job:
- Lead initiatives, programs, and process improvement projects in alignment with strategic goals prioritized by the Chief and Division Administrator
- Oversee Chief's office operations including facilities and technology
- Support budget and financial management related to the Chief's approval process
- Support internal and external communications processes (organizational documents, website, newsletters, social media, etc.)
- Support Chief's requests for data collection and reporting (clinical and financial)
- Manages higher level processes including coordinating faculty annual review process; Partner with admin team to prepare and assist faculty with Promotion and Tenure dossiers, managing REPA/COI compliance
- Prioritize projects based on divisional and leadership goals, and provide recommendations to managers on how to appropriately assign staff to meet divisional needs.
- Primary Department Facility Representative (DFR) and submits requests to Facilities Management.
-Supports on-boarding, off-boarding and general recruitment management
-Supports research administration activities

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS with at least 4 yrs of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 8 yrs
- Key individual contributor in a department to whom other more junior employees go to for technical guidance
- Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace proficiency
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to solve a range of problems using technical knowledge and creative problem solving
- Perform responsibilities with a high level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
- Experience leading and/or supervising teams of three or more individuals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working toward or holds a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field
- Management experience in healthcare and/or higher education
- Administrative experience in human resources
- Knowledge and/or experience with University of Minnesota policies, systems, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work across varying levels of an organization
- Experience with HRS systems, EHR, financial systems, and/or clinical scheduling software
Pay Range: $59,987-$85,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
