Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls, other communication interactions with clients, attorneys and Court staff, third parties or other staff
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail including certified, priority and FedEx mailings
- Use standard office equipment and office technology such as the copy machine, personal computer, scanning machine, dictation equipment, and fax machine
- Perform general office tasks such as: filing, scanning, copying, faxing, e-filing, answering phones, ordering supplies, dictations, scheduling and data entry
- Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, discovery, contracts, agreements, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and probate documents
- Prepare Municipal Legislation such as Ordinances and Resolutions
- Gather medical records and itemized billing information and preparation of medical audits
- In person and computer filing of court pleadings and recording of deeds
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook required. Knowledge of Adobe and Clio preferred Previous experience in a law office or legal environment is preferred.
- Excellent phone experience
- Ideal candidate must be organized, great attention to detail and can work in a fast-paced environment
