Physician / Oncology / Georgia / Locum tenens / Medical Oncologist Needed for Lo

A hospital is seeking a medical oncologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located south of Atlanta, Georgia. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient care, including an outpatient infusion clinic and managing hematology/oncology patients admitted to the hospital for consults and follow-ups. The provider will see 18 patients per day. While blood bank orders related to patient care may be required, direct blood bank coverage is not. The facility does not perform or manage active BMT patients. There is no formal call schedule, but calls from hospitalists or ER providers may occur for patient evaluations during regular inpatient rounding hours. The role includes solo on-site presence with colleague support from network oncologists and RN, LPN, and CMA support Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
