Hours: 9:00AM – 7:00PM
Location: Port Washington
Salary: 70,000-75,000 per year

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Warehouse Assistant Manager who will help us maintain the efficiency of our operations and exceed our customers’ expectations.

Role Overview: As the Warehouse Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of our warehouse. Your main objectives will include managing warehouse activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position requires a skilled multitasker who is both detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple aspects of warehouse operations simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse staff. Establish and manage operational goals and performance metrics.
  • Systems Maintenance: Maintain warehouse operations systems, including product handling, storage requirements, equipment utilization, and safety protocols.
  • Team Management: Train and manage the warehouse team, address day-to-day operational issues, and work towards achieving both short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Daily Operations Oversight: Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and safety protocols.
  • Workflows and Planning: Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans to meet productivity, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with legal regulations.
  • Maintenance: Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly; oversee general maintenance when necessary.
  • Productivity Analysis: Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention and improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
  • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language.
