Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in the construction industry? We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting for our construction projects.

salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

+ Handle full-cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and collections.

+ Assist with project accounting, including job costing and expense tracking.

+ Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.

+ Prepare and distribute financial reports, including project-specific reports for stakeholders.

+ Support payroll processing, ensuring accurate allocation to projects.

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

+ Collaborate with project managers and other team members to provide financial insights and support project success.

Qualifications

+ 3+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for candidates in the construction industry.

+ Proficiency in accounting software; experience with construction-specific platforms is highly desirable.

+ understanding of job costing and project accounting principles.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
