This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and filing cabinets.
The Accounting Clerk supports the Finance Director with the daily processes of the Finance Department. Which includes performing administrative tasks, A/P, A/R and Medical Payment.
Responsibilities:
- Processes all claims payment checks.
- Responsible for all Accounts Payable bill payment and reconciliation of vendor payments.
- Prepares all A/R invoices.
- Prepare and enter deposits.
- Assists in processing medical payments and related excel worksheets.
- Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
- Regular attendance.
- Travel as required.
Other Functions
- Enforces Company policies and safety procedures.
- Regularly updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Maintain IPA, Health Plan compliance standards.
Competencies
- One to two (1-2) + years of Accounts Payable experience required.
- Ability to use Bill.com or other applicable AP Software (QuickBooks) preferred.
- Skills in gathering, interpreting and reporting information; problem solving; exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, detail oriented, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Requires ability to make sound decisions under the direction of Supervisor.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
- Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written.
- Excellent active listening and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task, exercise excellent time management, and meet multiple deadlines.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational, multi-tasking, planning, and follow up skills.

Education and Licensure
- High School Diploma or GED minimum requirement.
- Associates degree in related field is preferred.
Travel
- The incumbent may travel up to 5% of the time.
