Amentum is seeking a Secretary to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Secretary will be a key administrative team at the Army Depot. Typical functions include providing administrative, computer/word processing, appointment scheduling, phone answering customer contact, and computer support to a senior manager. Secretary position will report to the ADO and/or SDO Manager. Typical Responsibilities Include : Responsible for providing the full range of secretarial, clerical, administrative, typing, and office automation support. Prepares professional business communication documents including presentations, reports, memos, letters, and emails. Performs routine to advanced administrative tasks in support of the daily operations of the department. Organizes and maintains scheduling integration and spreadsheets within the department Receives incoming inquiries and calls, scheduling appointment times with management group Organizes and maintains paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, etc. Assists with a variety of scheduled and unscheduled projects specific to assigned department/program. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility. May be required to assist/support other departments as needed Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older and obtained a High School diploma/equivalent. Must be computer literate in software applications and able to operate general office equipment at the intermediate to advance levels. Must be willing to be at work when scheduled, maintain a good attendance record, and have the ability to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts. Must be willing and able to be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. Must be willing and able to work in a procedurally compliant environment. Must be willing and able to work in an environmental and safety compliant environment. Must be able to be certified in any facet of clinic operations and have basic knowledge of pulmonary function testing, hearing test, vision screening and electrocardiogram. Good writing and verbal communication skills. Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement. Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. Perform safety sensitive duties. Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by the Master Training Plan. Desired Qualifications 3+ years of job-related experience or equivalent. Possess strong knowledge of business communication, including style and format of letters and reports. Strong typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and Power Point. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate office machinery such as fax and copier machines. Must be able to work independently with good decision-making skills. Must possess good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees and customers. Safety Sensitive This position is designated as non-safety sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program.
