Job Summary

The Recruiting Manager is responsible for full-cycle recruiting for the facility. This position collaborates with operational management to develop and implement strategies that ensure the organization meets its current and future workforce needs. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for recruiting, the ability to work independently, and a track record of providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop recruiting strategies and lead the recruiting team.
  • Manage all recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, pre-employment screening, onboarding, and hiring, while adhering to hiring policies and affirmative action/EEO guidelines.
  • Collaborate with operations management to address recruiting needs and implement effective strategies.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact to onboarding and orientation.
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to manage job postings and candidate data throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct post-offer processes and coordinate housing or lodging as needed.
  • Build relationships with agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations to identify talent, promote opportunities, and enhance company visibility.
  • Attend and coordinate job fairs and utilize various methods to attract candidates, including social media, online platforms, and local publications.
  • Maintain recruiting reports and continuously seek innovative ways to attract and retain talent.
  • Promote succession planning and professional development within the team.
  • Serve as a backup for other HR leadership roles when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in talent acquisition, including sourcing, assessment, selection, and onboarding for both hourly and management positions.
  • Current knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel as needed.
  • Experience with high-volume production recruitment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Experience in the food or meat industry.
  • Knowledge of the TN visa program.

  • Self-motivated with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Effective negotiation skills and ability to support diversity initiatives.
  • Capability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment but includes regular visits to production facility work areas. Standard office equipment is used, and occasional travel is required.

Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Summary

This facility, scheduled to open in early 2025, includes a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing areas, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
