The Telecommunications Foreman role will oversee the day-to-day work of a crew of Structured Cabling Technicians in the execution of low voltage and fiber optic infrastructure projects. Responsible for monitoring daily production rates, reporting hours and supervising their crew while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position will require travel throughout New York State and will work both indoors and outdoors in a variety of working conditions.

The Telecommunications Foreman role will oversee the day-to-day work of a crew of Structured Cabling Technicians in the execution of low voltage and fiber optic infrastructure projects. Responsible for monitoring daily production rates, reporting hours and supervising their crew while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position will require travel throughout New York State and will work both indoors and outdoors in a variety of working conditions.
This position will be required to perform the following functions:
- Effectively lead and mentor crews responsible for the installation of Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant Fiber Optic/Copper Networks.
- Perform hands-on installation and dressing of fiber optic cables (vertical/horizontal).
- Monitor daily production rates, reporting hours, and supervise crews to ensure the work is being performed efficiently.
- Always maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership/supervisory capacity
- Prior experience in the low voltage and telecommunications industry
- Exposure to both inside and outside plant installations
- Ability to communicate well with co-workers and customers
- Experience maintaining a safe work environment
- Must be able to climb ladders, utility poles and work in manholes as needed.
- Experience with computers to update drawing and Fiber Optics Splicing documentation.
- Possess a valid Driver's License and have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
