Requirements for Ultrasound Technologist:

• Associate degree or certification in diagnostic medical sonography or related field
• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or equivalent
• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and related technology
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Key Duties Include:

• Preparing patients for ultrasound examinations, addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have
• Ensuring proper alignment and exposure by positioning patients and equipment accordingly
• Operating ultrasound equipment proficiently to generate high-quality images, adjusting settings as necessary for optimal results
• Monitoring patient well-being throughout the procedure to guarantee safety and comfort
• Reviewing and processing images to uphold quality standards
• Collaborating with physicians and medical staff to ensure adherence to diagnostic protocols
