The recruiter at South Mill Champs plays a central role in the recruitment process, from crafting compelling job descriptions to sourcing and hiring top talent. They begin by collaborating with hiring managers to understand the role’s requirements, team dynamics, and organizational goals. Using this knowledge, recruiters develop job postings optimized for clarity, inclusivity, and searchability. They identify and engage potential candidates through strategic sourcing methods, including job boards, professional networks, and direct outreach. Recruiters screen applicants to ensure alignment with the role, coordinate interviews, and guide candidates through the process while maintaining clear communication and a positive experience. They also assist in the negotiation of offers and assist in onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition for the new hire and alignment with company expectations. Throughout the process, recruiters act as strategic partners, balancing organizational needs with candidate satisfaction to secure the best fit for the role and company.


Role and Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Develop and execute recruiting plans to meet hiring needs.
    • Source candidates using various platforms, including job boards, social media, and employee referrals.
    • Screen and assess candidates through interviews, skills assessments, and background checks.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
    • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and candidate profiles.
    • Provide regular updates on recruiting progress and candidate pipelines.
  • Candidate Experience:
    • Ensure a seamless and professional experience for all candidates.
    • Conducts interview process in an organized and professional manner that allows for an EEO assessment of hiring eligibility.
    • Communicate clearly and promptly with applicants regarding their status in the hiring process.
    • Maintains current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Recruitment Marketing:
    • Promote the organization’s employer brand to attract quality candidates.
    • Organize and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and community outreach programs.
    • Seeks new recruits in immediate and surrounding areas.
    • Understanding the hiring requirements per state and federal laws.
    • Understanding the training and orientation process in order to explain to possible new recruits.
    • Works with the hiring coordinator to facilitate onboarding process.
    • Maintains communication with HR team regarding progress with recruitment and current departmental needs.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities.
    • Ensure hiring practices comply with legal and company policies.
    • Generate recruitment metrics and reports to analyze the effectiveness of strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance recruiting efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred
  • 7 to 10 years of recruitment experience required with at least 1 year of solely recruitment responsibilities
  • Knowledge of agricultural work, knowledge of local area and surrounding counties, and immediate community preferred, but not required.
  • 7 or above scale level in Microsoft suite
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
