Description
- Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, laborers, and on-site staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring milestones are met and adjusting timelines as needed.
- Enforce safety standards and protocols, conduct regular site inspections, and address hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Oversee the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the field team, project manager, and client, ensuring consistent and clear updates.
- Manage material deliveries, inventory, and storage to avoid delays and maintain a clean, organized site.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, inspections, progress reports, and incident logs.
- Potential to travel to surrounding states of Georgia (including Alabama)
Profile
- 10+ years as a superintendent within commercial construction
- Proven track record managing ground-up hotel or multifamily projects (projects range from $15MM to $35MM)
- Skilled in developing and maintaining schedules, coordinating logistics, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, project managers, and field teams.
- Familiar with construction management software, scheduling tools (e.g., Procor, MS Project, Primavera), and blueprint/specification interpretation.
- Professional demeanor and dedication to delivering high-quality projects that meet client expectations and maintain strong relationships.
