Title: Data Governance Analyst
Location: Mid-Atlantic Region / Remote or Hybrid

Description:
• The Data Governance Analyst plays a pivotal role in establishing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance practices.
• This position involves collaboration across departments to gather requirements, define data principles, and ensure data quality.
• The analyst will evaluate and profile datasets, support the creation of policies and standards, and assist in resolving data anomalies to drive effective data management strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with data governance leads and stewards to develop, coordinate, and promote data principles, policies, and standards.
• Work as part of a team to gather requirements and assess data governance tools.
• Analyze datasets to identify quality issues and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data definitions.
• Use data quality tools to interrogate datasets and design monitors to meet project needs.
• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and summarize findings.
• Document business rules and perform root cause analysis for data anomalies, working with data stewards to resolve issues.
• Support the enterprise's master data management initiatives.
Required Skills:
• Strong skills in gathering and documenting requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex databases and understanding relational database modeling concepts.
• Intermediate proficiency with SQL.
• Experience translating business requirements into data and analytical needs.
• At least 4 years of experience in data management, data integration, data governance, or data quality projects.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with programming languages and data visualization tools.
• Experience in business analysis and data governance roles.
• Working knowledge of data governance tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $51.44-$73.49
