Walker Elliott is seeking a seasoned professional to join our clients team as a Senior Manufacturing Project Manager. This role reports directly to the VP of Manufacturing and is pivotal in overseeing engineering projects across our manufacturing, warehousing, and administrative facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Direct and manage assigned capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and specifications

• Coordinate effective communication between contractors, company divisions, and staff involved in projects

• Conduct periodic reviews of project scope, schedules, and costs using industry best practices

• Calculate ROIs for technical projects as needed

Facility Management

• Oversee activities related to planning, designing, and organizing capital and maintenance projects

• Conduct inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement

• Provide strategic leadership and support for Maintenance Managers to ensure equipment reliability

Team Leadership

• Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams to deliver results on time and within budget

• Travel to various plant locations to provide management support as necessary

Technical Expertise

• Utilize maintenance and engineering knowledge to determine project timelines, anticipate risks, and estimate costs

• Suggest non-capital improvements for existing processes to enhance efficiency

• Source and purchase equipment as required

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure adherence to company policies and oversee jobsite safety

• Complete periodic report updates and track, audit, and project labor hours

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

• 7+ years of managerial experience in maintenance, preferably in manufacturing

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong understanding of industry-specific compliance and safety regulations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Comprehensive understanding of production workflow, space design, and construction permitting

• Demonstrated strong engineering project management skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
