1st shift 5:00AM - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday
Bilingual Spanish preferred

Summary
Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures.
Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
Setting up components for welding according to specifications. Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements, sequence of welding assignments, and personnel needs. Manages welding supply and material needs. Coordinates activities of employees in the
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Plans and assigns departments daily tasks.
  • Trains employees on required techniques and verifies employees are producing product to customer specifications.
  • Review and understand standard weld symbols that are used on production drawings.
  • Ability to resolve process problems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Reviews daily reporting of employees to ensure accurate run rates and quantities produced into ERP system.
  • Reviews and orders necessary supplies for department requirements.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
  • Model the right behavior in terms of initiative, compliance, moral character (honor, integrity, and courage) and work ethic to create teamwork and mutual respect amongst employees.
  • Build team spirit, pride, and camaraderie within team.
  • Train department employees on Quality and Safety Procedures.
  • Promote safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience
Required:                                  
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
  • 5 years welding experience with all welding techniques or completion of 4 year accredited welding program
  • Knowledge of non-destructive inspection techniques.
  • Skilled in verbal and oral communication.
Preferred:                                 
  • Metal fabrication experience
Pay range $26/hour - $32/hour based on experience.
