Staff Support Specialist manages Engineering Department records/documents while also ensuring their accuracy, quality and integrity. Instructs Architects and Engineer on protocol of submittal review process and specification review and markup. Helps Department adhere to record retention policies, safeguard information and retrieve data more effectively.
Document Control Administrator provides administrative support to the Engineering Department. Accountable for design, formatting and quality control of a variety of reports, specifications and projects. Helps verify that specifications are accurate and items on submittal lists match specifications. Research information, as required.
Requirements
At a minimum, this position requires at least 2-4 years of higher eduction and 4 years' experience being an administrative assistant in an Engineering and/or construction environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to create and assemble professional documents. Must be proficient in Bluebeam Revu and have the ability to design and manipulate professional documents. Must be proficient in Adobe products and graphics applications and have the ability to graphically design professional documents. Self-directed, having the ability to work independently and being highly motivated. Stays focused in fast-paced environment and carries out tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy as this position comes in contact with complex and sensitive documents. Able to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot. Has strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills in order to communicate with internal and external business partners. Experience with document control software, FTP clients, SharePoint and/or similar file exchange software.
