Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in Investment Banking, specifically focusing on Risk Management. The ideal candidate will have 12-15+ years of experience in the data landscape, with a proven track record in cloud data platforms and data architecture. This role requires expertise in AWS, Snowflake, Data Modeling, and ETL processes. The Data Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions for risk management.
Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Modeling: Design and implement data models and architecture for data lakes and data warehousing on cloud platforms, with a focus on dimensional modeling. Risk Management Solutions: Collaborate with investment banking teams to ensure data solutions align with risk management objectives and requirements. Cloud Data Platform: Lead the design and development of data solutions leveraging AWS services, including S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, and others. Snowflake Expertise: Manage the data lifecycle within Snowflake, including data ingestion and transformation using Snowpipe, Snowpart, and other ELT tools. ETL & Data Transformation: Build and optimize ETL pipelines, ensuring efficient and scalable data processing. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of data solutions. Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data integrity, security, and governance within all implemented systems and processes. Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
12-15+ years of experience in data architecture and data management, with a strong focus on investment banking and risk management. Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience with AWS and associated data services such as S3, EMR, Glue, and Lambda. Expertise in data modeling and data architecture concepts, including experience with dimensional modeling. 3-5 years of practical experience with Snowflake, including working with Snowpipe for data ingestion, stored procedures, and different table types. Proven experience in ETL processes and tools, including working with various ELT tools for data transformation. Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both technical and business teams. In-depth understanding of cloud data platforms and associated technologies. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Data Lakes and Cloud Data Warehousing solutions. Familiarity with other cloud technologies and platforms beyond AWS. Knowledge of risk management tools and solutions within investment banking.
Certifications (if any)
Relevant certifications in AWS, Snowflake, or Data Architecture are a plus.
