WHAT YOU'LL DO

The

Vice President, Development

plays a critical role in helping us to improve our current work, while becoming bolder and more impactful in new frontiers. The Vice President will be responsible for ensuring the organization has the infrastructure, systems, and processes that enable us to sustainably manage our fundraising and revenue growth in support of student impact while working across divisions to add value, expertise and support to the entire organization. As a member of TNTP's Leadership Team, the Vice President will report to the Chief of Strategy, Growth and Finance (Lin Johnson III), and will work closely with other functional leaders in the organization, including the Vice President of Finance and General Counsel, as well as colleagues across the Executive and Leadership teams. The Vice President will provide direct management to the Partner, Fundraising and Partner and their respective teams.

Specific responsibilities may include: Lead the creation and implementation of a multi-year development and revenue strategy that positions TNTP to build and manage growth in a sustainable way to maximize our impact. Design and pursue growth strategies for new and existing fundraising channels, leveraging creative intellect and a strong experience base. Identify new opportunities to expand organizational funding from charitable or earned sources and design, plan, and lead successful new fundraising channel initiatives based on well-crafted strategy. Lead TNTP's fundraising efforts, building relationships with key stakeholders, investors, and donors. Manage the fundraising and business operations/development teams toward intended outcomes, while building a strong and healthy culture and working collaboratively across divisions on shared organizational goals. Take an innovative approach in all areas of development to ensure decision making is driven by strategic data and analysis and aligned with TNTP's strategic plan, aimed at maximizing revenue and fundraising potential. Serve as a change agent and collaborative leader to marshal resources and investment with the proper balance of technology landscaping and a pragmatic, results-oriented approach. Optimize modeling, reporting and analysis to provide senior level leadership with access to data and information that enables them to make decisions in a timely manner. Oversee the development of best-in-class central infrastructure, including processes and systems, that ensure the organization is maximizing business efficiencies. Establish and maintain the reporting systems and controls to ensure compliance with consolidation and reporting requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk management. Design and lead the business insight strategy, including building an internal business consultant function across the organization. Lead the evaluation and review of market opportunities and partnerships, assessing potential impact and opportunity, and ensuring a sound return on strategic growth, revenue generation, fundraising potential and investment. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications and Experiences

We are looking for a candidate to possess the following skills and expertise:

At least ten years of senior leadership experience in fundraising, development, strategic planning, revenue generation, and/or business development at the executive level preferred. Demonstrated success leading a development function to targets, preferably at the national level. Proven track record of successfully cultivating new and existing fundraiser relationships, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships. Strong knowledge of non-profit strategic planning principles and methodologies, including market analysis. Expertise across the full spectrum philanthropic fund development, including special gifts, major gifts, capital campaigns, annual giving, special events, prospect research, proposal development, and gift planning. A deep understanding of organizational strategy, market dynamics, financial planning and analysis, risk management, revenue generation and fundraising activities. Experience within a complex non-profit is essential to success in this role; candidates with a combination of for-profit and non-profit experience are welcomed. A demonstrated track record of achievement and results as a senior leader in developing and implementing multi-year strategic planning and growth, including helping to scale an organization and instituting change management initiatives. Prior experience managing staff, developing employees, and managing their career needs, particularly those geographically dispersed in a virtual environment. An unwavering commitment to TNTP's vision, values, and operating principles. Advanced acumen in technical applications such as Excel and CRM systems such as Salesforce. A desire to work in a remote environment, including comfort with web-based collaboration software An undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related fields is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

WHAT WE OFFER

The salary range for this position is $168,267-$252,400. New hires can typically expect a starting salary

between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint,

in alignment with experience, qualifications, and our commitment to equity in compensation.
