ABOUT THE JOB:
The Account Manager leads a customer-focused account team in McLane's Grocery division.
Develop and achieve sales budgets and forecasts for assigned accounts. Facilitate effective communication between McLane and assigned customer(s). Monitor service agreement compliance. Lead and motivate Account Representatives, who maintain the day-to-day relationships with customers. Share responsibilities such as sales objectives and account profitability with Area Sales Managers. This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree. 3+ years of management experience in the grocery, sales, retail, or other similar job field. (Internal candidates should have 2+ years experience at a McLane division.) Experience managing staffs with a background in hiring, training, and motivating employees and resolving employee relations issues. Willing to travel as requested. Skilled with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
