Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) Guaranteed Hours: To Be Determined Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience required - No first-time travelers - Preferred: Experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, long-term acute care, Trauma Level I or II License: Valid state license required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, Angioplasty, Chest Tube Placement, Embolization, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement, and other related procedures - Experience with C-ARM and Hybrid OR Job Description: - Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including Mesenteric Angiogram, Stent Placement, Catheter/Drain Exchange, Embolization, Gastrostomy, Internal/External Biliary Drainage, and more. - Engage in skills such as Percutaneous Stone Extraction, Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiogram, Renal Artery Stent Placement, Ureteral Stent Placement, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Vertebroplasty, TIPS, and Dialysis Graft Interventions. - Perform angioplasties, central venous access/port placements, and dialysis graft creation/revision. - Provide care and maintenance for PICC lines and central venous lines. - Familiarity with Siemens equipment, specifically ICONO Biplane and Pheno. - Responsible for equipment setup, EKG lead placement, accessing prep sites, and maintaining sterile fields. - Work as part of a call rotation every 4th or 5th weekend. - Utilize skills in room circulating and scrub procedures, including maintaining sterile fields. - Stay prepared to respond using the Rapid Response team and isolation precautions. - Engage in tasks involving vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose. Special Notes: - Scrubs provided, in blue color. - Vaccination requirements: COVID-19 and flu vaccines are mandatory, with allowances for medical or religious exemptions. - Orientation provided at 12 hours, non-billable.
