Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: CT Technologist Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM, Every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: - Radiologic Technologist credentialed by the appropriate state agency, obtained prior to hire or job transfer date Certifications: - BLS Provider from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer date - NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography, required in addition to Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), obtained prior to hire or job transfer date Must-Have: - Certification and licensure as listed - Ability to follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines Job Description: - Perform computerized tomographic procedures for diagnosing disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists - Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately - Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations - Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity - Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as needed - Collaborate with the team and maintain effective partnerships - Work in a fast-paced environment, especially in the Emergency Department and with the main CT scanner - Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures
