Travel Electrophysiology Tech - $3,328 per week in Rapid City, SD

Job Title: Cardiac Technician Profession: Cardiac Technician Specialty: EP Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years in EP lab with ablations and device implants License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, RCIS required, RCES preferred Must-Have: 2 years of EP experience, panning table skills, arrhythmia recognition and treatment, critical patient assessment skills Description: General Information: This position is in an EP lab with two beds. Travelers with only one year of experience will not be accepted. First-time travelers with appropriate experience will be accepted. Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility. Patient Types: Adults with arrhythmias requiring EP studies, ablations, or device implants. Procedures include laser lead extractions, cryoablations, and cardioversions. Patient Ratios are maintained at 1:1. Support on the Unit: A charge nurse is available Monday to Friday from 0600-1630. Charting System: Experience with Epic Cupid is preferred. Technologies like Carto mapping and Pruka are also preferred. No floating required. Orientation lasts for four days. The schedule does not involve weekend rotations. No on-call duties are required, but there will be three late shifts per two-week period. Normal shifts are from 0600 to 1630, four days per week, with a rotating day off. RNs could stay as late as 1800-2100. Holiday work is rarely required and includes a four-hour block on the Sunday before a Monday holiday. Time-off requests require manager approval. Scrub colors are provided.
