The Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations is charged with strengthening alumni engagement with the College and increasing support for the annual fund. The Director will apply best practices to engage the alumni community, faculty, staff, and students in advancing the mission of Culver-Stockton College. Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Vice President for Advancement and the advancement team, develop and implement annual fund efforts through peer-to-peer solicitation, direct mail, electronic appeals, day of giving, and faculty/staff campaign. Coordinate the planning and implementation of C-SC Homecoming activities, reunions, alumni awards events, and other gatherings that engage alumni and friends in support of the college. Serve as ex-officio member of the Alumni Board and provide support for regional or affinity groups. Develop alumni communications including monthly E-newsletter, manage an active social media presence, provide website updates, and alumni news for the C-SC Chronicle magazine. Other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required Relevant development or marketing experience Event planning and volunteer engagement experience, preferably in higher ed Other Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Understanding of outcome-based event planning Able to function independently while operating effectively within a team environment Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Docs and other programs as needed (e.g., Canva, mail merge, database management) Excellent oral and written skills Strong personal and professional integrity Ability to occasionally travel and work evenings and weekends Exhibits a high level of professionalism, creative problem solving, negotiation and sales skills, and the ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision Professional, courteous demeanor and appearance; ability to work professionally with students, faculty, staff and administration
