TAP is seeking to hire a Recruiter to join our team! If you are a highly motivated individual who enjoys a challenging and dynamic environment where your contributions are both critical and valued, this company will provide you the tools and opportunity to thrive.
The Recruiter will work directly with TAP leadership to identify, hire, and retain new talent. Additionally, the Recruiter will support administrative functions as required. The successful candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, organized and will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. TAP is a small (~20-person, presently), and growing engineering firm working in the defense and intelligence market. We are looking for someone to join our back-office team that can grow and learn with us.
*This position requires a candidate/employee that lives within 15 minutes of TAP’s headquarters in Columbia, MD and is willing/able to be on-call and respond (by phone or in-person, if required) to an alarm event. Alarm events are rare.
Partial telework (~20%) is acceptable.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Recruiting & Marketing (~80%)
- Recruiting - developing/posting/monitoring job requisitions, sourcing & screening candidates (predominately cleared, TS/SCI FSP candidates in the Maryland market), performing reference checks, scheduling internal interviews with leadership and technical team, writing job offers, negotiating candidate offer packages.
- Marketing – developing/executing a marketing strategy (i.e. social media, website, print media, etc.), generating marketing materials (i.e. simple graphic art, write-ups), attend local industry events to represent TAP (~1-2 event per month may occur after normal business hours)
- Staffing Coordination – working with internal program managers to interpret end customer requirements and translate them into job requisitions
- Administrative Support (~20%)
- Employee Engagement – act as a point of contact to support/direct TAP employee questions/issues
- Event Planning – support the planning of company events
- Employee Onboarding – support onboarding activities surrounding new hires, develop
- Data Entry – support basic data entry and calculations
- Front Desk – visitor check-in/badging
- *Facility Alarm Response – described above
Required Qualifications (Must Have's):
- U.S. Citizen with the ability and willingness to pursue a security clearance with the U.S. Government
- BA/BA Degree from an Accredited Institution
- 0-7 years of professional experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Detail-Oriented, Organized and Creative
Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have's):
- Customer Service and/or sales experience
- Recruiting experience
- Experience working in the Maryland defense and intelligence contracting community
