Position Objective: To oversee the development and execution of the New Orleans Port Project, ensuring smooth operational management during the project phase. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of the New Orleans Port Project, from inception to completion. Oversee daily port operations, ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and efficiency standards. Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project success. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance port productivity and customer satisfaction. Manage the project budget and ensure cost-effective resource allocation. Address operational issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure continuity of port services. Act as the primary liaison with local authorities, clients, shipping companies, and other relevant stakeholders. Coordinate and manage the relevant internal and external teams Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 8-10 years of experience in port operations or the maritime sector. Proven leadership and team management experience, preferably in a port or logistics facility. Expertise in managing port operations and making swift, effective decisions in crisis situations. Experience in financial accountability and budget management. Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges promptly. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Strategic decision-making skills and a capacity to stand behind critical decisions. Ability to manage port authority-related processes and build strong relationships with firms, agencies, and other stakeholders. Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
