TPS Associates inc. is currently seeking a creative Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to work on site in our Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ. TPS Associates, Inc. If you are a detail-oriented engineer with a passion for MBSE and have the experience to build and apply models to solve complex technical problems, we want to hear from you RESPONSIBILITIES: Apply MBSE tools and principles to perform and improve system engineering processes and enable simulation-based analysis and studies Develop, analyze, and maintain new system models for NAWC SE programs using MBSE technologies, methodologies and tools Integrate MBSE tools and processes with existing systems and workflows Develop observations and recommendations on system engineering processes based on MBSE/digital engineering standard methodologies. Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all functional and program interfaces Lead/coordinate research, studies, and analysis on current and future planning and coordination system capabilities, as well as provide supporting data and associated recommendations to advise program sponsors Use models throughout the acquisition life cycle to support requirements, analysis, design, implementation, and verification of a capability or system Work with government sponsor, industry, academic, and government laboratory staff to conduct research, trade studies, and engineering analyses to identify and apply promising new technologies to sophisticated system applications Evaluate technology and system solutions against program objectives and performance metrics, cost considerations, and risk factors Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM field 3 years of Systems Engineering and MBSE experience Strong knowledge of MBSE processes, practices, tools and related modeling languages and frameworks (e.g. Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)) Broad Model Based Engineering Applications and Technology background (i.e. tools; Cameo Systems Modeler, Capella, Enterprise Architect, Innoslate, Gaphor, Genesys, IBM Rhapsody, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of Systems Engineering and MBSE experience relating to Aerospace and Defense projects, such as major weapons systems or major programs Certified System Modeling Professional Experience designing and testing complex SW systems, especially DoD Systems or large distributed SW Solutions Experience performing test and integration, applying best engineering practices, and developing test methodologies Knowledge of DoD Planning, Programming and Budgeting, Acquisition Decision, Research and Development, Test and Evaluation systems.
