Their innovative platform enables a feedback loop for improving production data, creating smarter, faster, and more cost-effective models. By unifying inference, observability, optimization, and experimentation, they empower cutting-edge workflows for complex multi-step LLM applications—all while maintaining blazing-fast performance. THE ROLE – FOUNDING BACKEND ENGINEER As the Founding Backend Engineer, you'll build and scale the backend architecture from the ground up, focusing on performance, scalability, and integrations. Key responsibilities include: Design and develop backend systems and APIs in Rust to support high-performance, large-scale LLM workflows. Architect and implement robust systems for inference, observability, optimization, and experimentation. Collaborate closely with the cofounders to solve complex AI-driven backend challenges. Develop innovative solutions for processing and managing massive datasets efficiently. Work with frontend and product teams to ensure seamless integration and user experience. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven experience designing and implementing backend systems from the ground up (0-1). Expertise in Rust for backend development. Strong understanding of building scalable, high-performance systems for data-intensive applications. Experience in startup environments is highly preferred. Contributions to open-source projects are a major plus. Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and workflows is a bonus. Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud architectures. BENEFITS This role offers a competitive base salary of $200,000 - $250,000, alongside significant equity.
