Quality Engineer

Title: Quality Engineer Location: Schaumburg, IL Salary: 75,000-84,000 Essential Functions: Plan and direct activities related to the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. Direct workers in measuring and testing products and tabulating data on materials, product, or process quality and reliability. Compile and write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality control activities. Additional Responsibilities: Perform internal/external auditing of Quality and Supplier IATF 16949/ISO 9001/ISO 14001. Monitor and measure supplier performance and drive appropriate actions. Investigate non-conformances and product deviations. Write and review SOPs for facility, equipment, material handling, etc. Review and approve validation documentation and PPAP documentation. Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions. Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Formulate quality control policies and procedures. Perform PPAP on new customer parts, new revisions, and annual re-PPAP. Work in a team environment and use inspection tools to measure parts. Required Skills and Experience: Assist in various areas of quality control engineering, such as design, process control, product evaluation, and more. Provide data for management reporting. Interface with customers. Education and Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering. Three years of manufacturing experience, preferably in stamping, welding, painting, and plating. One year of supplier quality/development experience in a multinational manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills. Experience in sheet metal fabrication or stamping.
