Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer - Design & Project Management

Job Description: Immediate need for an Intermediate Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience preparing design of plumbing and fire protection systems including calculations of preliminary water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads while adhering to the firm’s QC process. Responsibilities: Design plumbing and fire protection systems Perform calculations of preliminary water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads Examine field conditions as required. Attend meetings with clients and consultants. Create plans, schematics, equipment selection and calculations. Knowledge of NYC Filing requirements and procedures Review of submittals, shop drawings, and change orders. Qualifications: 5 years of similar Engineering experience with MEP firms Proven experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems. Knowledge of NYC, NY State and NFPA building codes Strong computer, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP skills Field experience MUST have excellent communication and writing skills. MUST be willing to work in-person. MUST be eligible to work in the US. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
