VP/Director - Interconnection and Transmission Planning (PJM) About the Role: We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Interconnection and Transmission Planning to lead critical efforts in the generator interconnection and transmission planning space, specifically within the PJM region. This role will drive the success of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects while ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the generator interconnection process for large-scale solar and energy storage projects, including feasibility analysis, application submissions, study oversight, agreement negotiations, and construction milestone management. Technical Expertise: Review and validate interconnection study results to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements. Provide technical guidance and support for project acquisition efforts. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Land Acquisition, Engineering, Permitting, EPC, and Operations, to develop and maintain a robust project pipeline. Industry Engagement: Represent the company in RTO/ISO generation interconnection and stakeholder forums, keeping executive leadership informed of industry changes and emerging trends. Vendor and Consultant Oversight: Manage the activities of consultants and service providers, ensuring project accounts and deliverables are aligned with strategic goals. Qualifications and Experience: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required). Professional Experience: Extensive experience with power flow studies and transmission planning. Familiarity with TARA software (preferred). Strong knowledge of PJM interconnection processes and tariff requirements. Demonstrated experience working within the RTO/ISO frameworks (preferred). Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 25%.
