We are looking for a talented CMM Zeiss Programmer to support our operations. The CMM Zeiss Programmer is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to ensure the accuracy and quality of manufactured parts. This role requires a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), as well as proficiency in using Zeiss Calypso software. The programmer will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to develop and implement efficient measurement strategies. Responsibilities: Programming: Develop and optimize measurement programs using Zeiss Calypso software. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to create accurate and efficient measurement routines. Utilize advanced features of Calypso, such as variable routines, macros, and custom functions, to automate complex measurements and improve efficiency. Operation: Set up and operate CMM machines to perform dimensional inspections on a variety of parts. Conduct first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections to verify conformance to engineering specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM hardware and software. Data Analysis: Analyze measurement data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement. Generate comprehensive inspection reports, including statistical process control (SPC) charts and other relevant data. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CMM machines, including cleaning, calibration, and software updates. Identify and report any maintenance or calibration needs to appropriate personnel. Required Skills/Knowledge Min. 3-year experience in operation CMM Zeiss and/or Roamer Arm Strong understanding of GD&T principles. Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other CMM software packages (e.g., PC-DMIS). Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) techniques. Experience with programming and operating other metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparators, profilometers). Certification in GD&T or CMM programming. Problem Solving
