Design Engineer

Design Engineer Location: Lafayette, IN Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 (Depending on Experience) Position Overview Our client is seeking a dedicated Design Engineer to join their Lafayette, IN office, leading design tasks for a variety of infrastructure projects. About the Team The Lafayette office is known for its commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions in bridge design, urban and county roadways, streetscapes, and public works projects for municipalities, counties, and academic institutions. This team provides a collaborative environment for engineers looking to grow their skills and make a meaningful impact in local communities. Responsibilities Lead design tasks, including project calculations, report preparation, roadway modeling, and planning. Assist in preparing proposal documents and conducting preliminary project evaluations. Coordinate tasks, reporting to the project manager to assist in tracking budgets, schedules, and project progress. Support teams in the Indianapolis and regional offices on various infrastructure projects. Build and maintain professional relationships with other firms and public agencies to aid in project coordination. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) in Indiana. Experience in transportation project design for INDOT, county, or municipal projects. Proficiency in ACAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Bentley Open Roads Designer, StormCAD, CDSS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
