Job Responsibilities Lead and manage the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project specifications. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to assess potential challenges and opportunities. Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for work. Collaborate with project stakeholders to review design documents and provide input on constructability and material selection. Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials and negotiate vendor contracts. Manage the preconstruction team, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and efficiency. Facilitate communication between clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project handover to the execution phase. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project delays and budget overruns. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and building codes during the preconstruction phase. Prepare and present preconstruction reports and updates to senior management and clients. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to optimize project collaboration. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry or construction management, with a focus on preconstruction phases. Proven experience in project estimation, scheduling, and budgeting. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in construction project management software and tools. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to interpret architectural drawings and blueprints. Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Knowledge of safety standards and practices in construction. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar credential is preferred.
