The towing and recovery industry’s national association is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator. This is a rule role being responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the organization's mission, programs, and services. Also responsible to create, implement, and oversee communications programs, be it internal or external, that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products. Oversee all internal and external communications for a company, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging. Marketing Member Recruitment : Creating and executing new and returning member recruitment initiatives (promotions, emails, social media ads, etc.) Member Benefit Partner Program : Promoting and managing the association’s member benefit partner program and its package inclusions. Corporate Advertising Sponsors : Creating, coordinating, and executing all aspects of TRAA’s Corporate Advertising (CAS) Program including all the package elements. Advertising : Creating and executing al le carte advertising spots via email, website, and social media for our associate members. Fundraising : Creating and executing fundraising initiatives to support the association’s mission and legislative goals. Show/Promotional Materials : Responsible for preparing and executing trade show materials for trade shows and industry events. Affiliate/Referral Income Streams : Responsible for identifying potential new residual income programs and managing existing residual income programs. Communications Internal Emails : Responsible for effective and timely communication with the membership to keep them updated on TRAA’s activities, meetings, events, and initiatives. Internal Website : Responsible for updating and maintaining the internal, members-only website pages including updating member benefit discount codes, posting new article links, etc. Bi-monthly E-Newsletter : Responsible for creating and executing the bi-monthly newsletter with a recap of TRAA’s activities, industry links, CAS ads, and other resources. Social media : Creating and managing the organization's social media presence and collaborating with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding. Includes regularly posting promotional content for NHTSA, DOT, and industry events. Public-Facing Website : Responsible for updating and maintaining the public website pages including our online blog, ongoing initiatives pages, donor pages, affiliate link ads, online calendar, etc. Press releases : Writing and distributing press releases to industry publications, affiliate state associations, and members outlining TRAA news and developments. Bylined articles : Writing and submitting byline articles to the industry publications promoting the association’s activities and initiatives. Travel Occasional domestic travel required. Work Environment This is a remote position with occasional travel for industry events and meetings. Must already have suitable home-office set up. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field, preferred. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in marketing and sales with proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing communications materials. Demonstrated background in digital marketing strategy and platforms. Proficient in using Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, Constant Contact, Canva and other Content Management Systems. Prior experience in the transportation industry, preferred but not required.
