Overview
The Account Executive I will sell AIT Truckload Solution's services to the customer focusing on new business acquisition. This role will consult with clients and develop solutions primarily in the domestic full truckload (FTL) services mode. This role will drive revenue results by establishing new customer relationships and manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing. The Account Executives will establish and maintain positive relationships with our customers & when appropriate transition the account to the account managers for ongoing development and service.
Responsibilities
Prospect, plan, and execute sales activities daily while maintaining a healthy pipeline through discovery calls / virtual meetings with new prospective and existing customers. This role will also close new business and grow existing business relationships by consistently performing sales activities over the phone / email or through in-person sales visits
Consult with several levels of decision-makers and buying influences to understand their business challenges and supply chain goals and offer tailored solutions Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals through activities such as conducting sales calls, preparing proposals, promotional material, sales report completion and pipeline management Partner with carrier sales, account management and customer service teams to execute and develop unique solutions in addition to supporting both onboarding and ongoing operational activities Ensure alignment with company strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development Assist in the development of customer standard operating procedures (SOP's) required to effectively manage each customer's business Participate and help complete pricing requests and Request for Proposals (RFP's) Ensure customer accounts receivable (AR) is managed within AIT Truckload Solutions expectations Maintain a strong commercial presence in the marketplace and be a subject matter expert to the team Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards The wage range for this position is $62,333.33-$89,760.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience
Qualifications
Education * High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required) and * Associate's Degree (Preferred) or * Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Experience * less than 1 year Experience in inside sales within the truck brokerage or logistics industry (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Transportation Management System (TMS) Low * General Truckload, over the road (OTR), less than truckload (LTL) and intermodal terms / info Low * Presentation skills and effective follow-up Medium * Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Medium
