Our client is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support our litigation attorneys in managing case files, preparing legal documents, and assisting in trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation experience, with a strong understanding of legal procedures and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience in medical malpractice cases and trial support would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with iManage document management software is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to litigation attorneys, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and settlement agreements.
- Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining both physical and electronic files, and assisting with document production.
- Draft correspondence and communications on behalf of attorneys, ensuring timely responses to clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders, and attending trial as needed.
- Assist in drafting and filing legal documents with courts and administrative agencies.
- Maintain and update case management software and ensure deadlines are met for filings and other litigation-related tasks.
- Assist with the preparation of discovery materials, including interrogatories, requests for production, and deposition summaries.
- Conduct research and provide litigation-related administrative support as needed.
- Utilize iManage or other document management systems to organize and track case-related documents and correspondence.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by attorneys or supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation legal administrative experience required.
- Experience with medical malpractice cases is a plus.
- Trial experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with trial preparation and court filings.
- Proficiency with iManage or other document management software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes, legal terminology, and court rules.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proofread and format legal documents accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal-specific software.
