Position Summary: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner needed for growing, multi-disciplinary pain management practice in the Denver, CO area. There is potential for growth. The position is 100% outpatient pain management with no call, no evenings, and no weekends. The practitioner will provide exemplary patient care and medical management for established and new patients. The provider will be adept at conducting patient interviews, performing musculoskeletal examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, diagnosis and medical decision-making, medication management of established patients according to strict compliance guidelines of the practice, and referring for therapy and interventional treatments according to the practice’s algorithms. The PA will also provide injections such as trigger point injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and joint injections per the capabilities of the provider (training will be provided, as needed).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow-up appointments and minor procedures are given 20 minutes and new patient appointment are given 40 minutes. We have excellent ancillary support staff to assist in documentation within the EHR system to maximize provider efficiency with the scheduling template.

The provider must be comfortable with facilitating a comprehensive treatment plan for patients, including managing medications and referring for conservative therapies and interventional treatments. Prescriptions of medications, therapy and interventions will be coordinated per practice protocol’s and policies, as well as state and federal guidelines, for safe, compliant, and effective patient care.

Candidate will provide thorough and accurate documentation in a timely manner. The provider will also provide exemplary patient care and must be able to work in a professional manner under the supervision of the physician in a team approach. The provider will be able to proactively work independently and collaboratively, and will demonstrate the company’s values of excellence, poise, leadership, and service. The ideal candidate will have experience in pain management, orthopedic spine or neurosurgery, but new graduates may be considered.

Active Colorado state license

Current NCCPA Board certification

Physician Assistant License (Preferred)
