Job Description
SUMMARY
Support our U.S. Navy customer's web-based Human Relations (HR) infrastructure. Contribute to the operation and maintenance of an enterprise portal serving 1M users. Work closely with Senior Systems Administrators and other Operations team members. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the accessibility, availability, and functionality of critical systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Continuously monitor Navy systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Identify, document, and respond to system alerts and anomalies promptly to minimize downtime and service disruptions. Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic application and system issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members as necessary. Create and manage JIRA tickets to document identified issues, track their resolution, and ensure timely follow-up. Communicate authorized and unauthorized service interruptions to relevant Operations leadership and stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely dissemination of information. Generate and maintain logs and reports detailing system performance, incidents, and resolutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support system maintenance, updates, and deployments. Adhere to organizational security policies and procedures, ensuring all activities comply with T3 security clearance requirements. Contribute to the formulation and maintenance of an enterprise-wide baseline of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems. Support deployments using container technologies such as Docker, OpenShift and AWS ECR. Support security activities using relevant tools, systems, and applications in support of Risk Management Framework to include: SPLUNK, APP DYNAMICS, NESSUS, ACAS, DISA STIGs, SCAP, Audit Reduction, and HBSS. Generates or provides input for new or existing documentation. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered. Must have active CompTIA Security+ certification or must be able to obtain and maintain the CompTIA Security+ certification within two (2) months of the first day of employment. Must complete Salesforce Platform App Builder training and Trailhead training within two (2) months of the first day of employment. Prior exposure to source and artifact control, and configuration management. Relevant knowledge of current and emerging data center and infrastructure technologies. Proficient in determining the appropriate strategy for recoverability and continuity of business operations. Good understanding of and experience in Agile methodologies within a fast-paced software development environment. Understanding of infrastructure hosting technologies - cloud, storage, network, operating systems. Familiar with RDS databases (Oracle, SQL, and/or Postgres). Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) with a Top-Secret background investigation. Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Experience with AWS and other using monitoring tools. Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and best practices. Prior experience in an Operations Center or similar technical support role. Strong computer skills including business solution software. Must be analytical and able to problem solve for technical issues. Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties while operating under time constraints. Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality. Salesforce CRM exposure is a plus. AWS Certification is a plus. TRAINING REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT
Specialized training and certifications may be required for this position. Training and exam costs will be provided by Katmai. Employees will be required to sign a Training Reimbursement Agreement that states that if unable to complete certifications within two months after employment starts or if employment is terminated within the first year, all or a percentage of the training costs must be reimbursed. Details of this reimbursement agreement will be described in a separate document.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or special projects. Must be willing to work weekends, night shifts, and in a 24/7 operational environment, including holidays as required.
TRAVEL
The expected travel time is less than 10%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 10%.

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.
