The Controller will be a permanent employment opportunity and will be located in the Janesville, Wisconsin region.How you will make an impact- Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis- Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible- Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectationsRequirements- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Monthly Financial Reporting experience- Month end closings experience- Adeptness in SOX- Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience- Annual Financial Reporting experience preferred- Standard Cost Accounting experience required- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus- Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired- Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued- Self-starter and strong ethical standards- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- Excellent oral and written communications skills- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related fieldJob typePermIndustryMining
