Medical Director, Renal Genetics Location: Remote role based in United StatesThe Medical Director, Renal Genetics is a part of the Organ Health Medical Affairs business unit and is ina critical leadership role to drive Natera’s success with integrating renal genetics into the routinemedical care of patients with kidney disease including those who are kidney transplant candidates andrecipients.Major responsibilitiesEducate general nephrologists and transplant nephrologists regarding renal genetics, renasightand the Natera’s transplant and kidney health products. Develop and nurture guideline and other top tier key opinion leader relationshipsFoster relationship with KOLS at meetings and in office settings regarding the utility ofrenasight/ renal geneticsDevelop materials/ slides for (inter)national symposia, webinars etc. regarding renalgeneticsSpeak at (inter)national symposia regarding renal geneticsOrganize/ drive content for renal genetics scientific advisory boardDrive the scientific road map for renal genetics at Natera for product adoption and inclusion intoguidelinesDrive publication of key manuscripts/ abstractsDraft manuscript/ abstracts with the cross functional team (Sci Comm, Translationalresearch, Clin ops)Facilitate quality Investigator initiated trialsRecruit industry-leading PIs and clinical sites to participate in clinical studies, meetingbudget and timeline requirements in collaboration with Clinical Trial Operations deptand Senior Director of Kidney Health.Provide clinical expertise in clinical study design and other areas of innovation for R&DPartner with commercial / marketing to drive the commercialization strategy for renal geneticsin the nephrology and transplant communityWork with cross functional team to determineClinical operations for renasight: clinicalinterpretation of test results, customer support for physicians, advise on pre-and post-test counseling for patients.Drive medical education efforts to support growth of our kidney health productportfolio by teaching the community how to use the tests.Advise on product development for our testing portfolio: identify clinical unmet needs, newproduct opportunities, critical product features, product intended use, design and content oftest reports, minimum validation studiesPartner with BD regarding pharma partnershipsThis role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have access to varioustechnologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and ProcedureCompliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.Employee must pass post-offer criminal background check.Position Requirements and ExperienceMD or foreign equivalent required.4+ years of practice experience required.Fellowship trained in Nephrology, board certification preferredDuties are typically performed in an office setting.This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone andread printed material.Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.Job location: Remote. 60% travel.The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
