We're seeking a Company Controller with deep experience in government contracting and proficiency in Deltek Costpoint.As the Controller of a start-up like subsidiary of a Global Fortune 500 company, you will have the lead role in day-to-day accounting operations, monthly close, financial reporting, FP& A, and compliance as well as building out policies, procedures, system integration, and more for a dynamic and rapidly growing organization. My client is motivated to hire before the holidays!Key responsibilities:Maintain and support the operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.Oversee the production of monthly financial reports and quarterly consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP.Manage the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, promptly informing management of any significant budgetary discrepancies.Coordinate audit engagements and liaise with external auditors, supplying necessary information for the annual audit.Oversee regulatory reporting, which often includes tax planning and compliance.Develop and implement stringent internal controls to ensure maximum protection of company assets and ensure alignment with company policies, procedures, and workflows.Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.Review complex accounting issues and provide detailed and prompt responses to inquiries.Undertake other relevant duties as assigned.Don't miss this exciting opportunity to steer the financial course of our organization.
